Mazaya Real Estate Development Company (QSC) recently participated in a gala charity dinner organized by Al Hiba Team, a charity group endorsed by the Qatar Centre for Voluntary Activities, at The Ritz Carlton Doha.
The event was held to raise funds to help support residents of Qatar in the treatment of cancer and other serious illnesses, and took place under the patronage and in the presence of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani. HE Sheikha Lina bint Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani, Chairperson of Al Hiba Team, as well as a number of special guests, representatives of Qatari and non- Qatari institutions, and the media were present to lend their support.
Al Hiba has, over the past three years, helped treat over 200 cases, of which five were sent for treatment abroad. A number of corporate and individual guests from both the public and private sectors booked tables as a contribution to the humanitarian assistance provided by the centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Abdul Shafi, Public Relations Manager at Mazaya, said: “Mazaya not only participated in this charity event because it forms part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, but also because we strongly believe in supporting such meaningful and worthy humanitarian efforts. All companies must get involved in such causes.”
