Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company has announced that its Chairman, Mr. Rashid Fahad Al Naimi, has won the NASEBA award for “Creative CEO 2012”, which honors the most distinguished CEOs and directors in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the success of their organizations.
The winners were announced in Dubai on 14th of March, on the sidelines of the 2nd annual Financial Leaders Summit.
Mr. Al Naimi was selected in recognition of his efforts and contributions to Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company since its inception in 2008 and the achievements made by the company – internally and externally.
In his statement upon receipt of the award, Mr. Al Naimi said: “Being here today to receive this award is not about me, but I think exemplifies Mazaya Qatar’s important and growing status in this vital sector, and its exceptional and experienced team of professionals who have performed so well during this critical period”.
“This honor places a great deal of responsibility on me and the teams in the all companies I belong to. I would like on this occasion to extend heartfelt thanks to the Chairman, Board members and all employees of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development and all the other companies I represent, for their constant support”, Al Naimi added.
Despite the impact of the global economic crisis which hit the region in the past years, Mazaya Qatar has achieved tremendous success in its Initial Public offering under the leadership of Mr. Al Naimi and its management team. Mazaya Qatar was awarded a number of major contracts for large scale projects, which positioned the firm as one of the leaders of real estate industry in the region, in general, and Qatar, in particular. These achievements, Mr. Naimi insists, were congruent with the plans and strategies set out since inception. The company’s focus has always been on generating highest returns to partners and shareholders with the lowest levels of risk.
Beside his position as Chairman of Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company, Mr. Al-Naimi is the Vice President of Administration at Qatar Foundation, where he leads the Administration Division with the overall responsibility for managing all the administrative and operational functions of Qatar Foundation, its staff and its partner organizations, including the shared services areas of Finance, Procurement, Information Technology, Human Resources, Support Services, Business Improvement and Quality Management Systems.
Mr. Al-Naimi’s career has developed in an interesting arc over the past twenty years. He is has maintained roles in Senior Management for nearly a decade. Prior to joining Qatar Foundation, Mr. Al-Naimi was the Manager of Human Resources for the Qatar energy company RasGas Company Limited.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Indiana State University in the US and is the Chairman for many companies including MEEZA, and Gulf Bridge International (GBI), which contribute to development in the country by developing the infrastructural and industrial sectors. He is also a Board Member representing Qatar Foundation across a number of companies including Vodafone Qatar.
