Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company (QSC) has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Foundation for Education Science and Community Development– and the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC)– to provide for QNCC’s staff accommodation needs.
An MoU was signed at Qatar Foundation’s headquarters by Vice President: Projects and Facilities Saad Al Muhannadi and Mazaya Qatar’s Chairman Rashid Fahad Al Naimi. Mazaya Qatar’s General Manager, Seraj Al Baker was also present at the signing.
According to the terms of the MoU, for a ten year period, Mazaya Qatar will have the exclusive right to provide or source 324 housing units for the QNCC.

We admire their contribution to real estate development in the region; specifically in the fields of project management & consultancy; and master community development . At the dawn of this auspicious partnership we see a lot of positive developments and look forward to our continued collaboration in the future.
Said Al Naimi, “QNCC is one of the major projects underway in Qatar at present, and Mazaya Qatar is proud to have been appointed to provide staff accommodation for the project. We look forward to working together with Qatar Foundation to ensure that the housing provided for QNCC staff is in line with the ambitious vision for the project, and we are confident that this will be the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship.”
The Qatar National Convention Centre, scheduled to open in 2011, is the first project of its kind being built to the gold certification of U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED). On completion, the QNCC will provide a venue of choice for regional and national conventions, exhibitions, gala events, concerts, weddings and banquets.
Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development Company was established as a Qatari shareholding company under article No. 68 of the Commercial Companies Law (No. 5 of 2002) and under the terms and conditions of the company’s establishment contract. The establishment of the company was approved by decision No. 22 of 2008, issued by the Qatari Minister of Business and Trade on 10th of January 2008.
